If my life were a movie, this would be the cue for the sorrowful, Spanish guitar. I'm packing away all my art work and art supplies. I'm sliding my drawings, prints, paintings, and sketch pads under my bed, and storing my canvases behind my bedroom door. My acrylics, oils, solvents, gesso, matte medium, brushes, etc. are bagged and stashed in a corner. And this will be my last devart update in a long time.

I'm leaving for college this week and, not taking any art classes this semester, I will not have any time or space to paint in my dorm. I hate putting art on hold because it's been my one and only passion. Why am I not pursuing art post-high school? Ask Temple University. They refuse to answer my questions. I've asked in person, over the phone, through e-mail. I don't know how to claim art as my official minor and Temple doesn't want me to know. I have no idea what classes I need to take, if I need to apply to Tyler (Temple's art school) again, or if it's even possible to have my specific major/minor combination. So I'll be taking classes about mass marketing and media - all types of bs I'm hoping will be able to replace fine art. It probably won't. I'm already anticipating changing my major or transferring.

So if this were a movie, the screen would slowly dissolve into the words "to be continued..."
